About the Author

Elle Arnett is an award-winning garden designer renowned for creating immersive, naturalistic outdoor spaces that balance thoughtful planting with beautifully resolved design.

Her approach combines creative vision with rigorous technical expertise. Trained at the prestigious London College of Garden Design, Elle graduated with a Double Distinction in both Garden and Construction Design. This foundation gives her a deep understanding of hardscaping, materiality and structural design, alongside refined horticultural knowledge, ensuring every garden is as practical as it is beautiful.

Alongside designing private gardens, Elle also lectures at the London College of Garden Design, sharing her expertise with the next generation of garden designers while continuing to work on residential and show garden projects.

In 2026, Elle was awarded a Gold Medal, Best Construction Award and the People's Choice Show Garden Award at the inaugural RHS Badminton Flower Show for her acclaimed show garden, Macmillan Cancer Support: The Nascent Shade Garden. Expert’s Choice

For the Gardenesque stand at RHS Badminton Flower Show, I drew inspiration from Britain's field edges to create a relaxed, naturalistic planting scheme filled with texture, movement and seasonality. The Esme Globe Water Feature became a calming focal point, nestled amongst flowing perennials to add gentle movement and sound while encouraging visitors to pause and enjoy the space.

Layered planting was brought together using Gardenesque x Ecopots, allowing specimen trees and generous planting combinations to create a garden that felt established and abundant.
