Materials

All of our Ancient pieces are crafted from high quality clay that is pressed into molds and air dried before being fired in a traditional kiln. The premium salt glaze is then applied by hand, revealing a distinct pattern of textures and tones reminiscent of natural stone.

Glazed pots

Very happy with the quality and size of planters. Until now I had found it difficult to find a pot large enough and of a good build.
Delivery was on time and notifications as the order progressed.
Would definitely recommend.

Finishing touch

We've spent the last 5 years renovating our modest Victorian semi in Malvern Worcestershire and have now reached the satisfying stage of adding the finishing touches. We decided the front needed two small trees, but due to limited space for patking, we didn't want something that would get out of hand. Pots were the answer but finding something attractive, interesting was proving difficult. Local garden centres only seemed to stock the same ranges of glazed blue, black, green or grey pots often not large enough. The larger pots were of fibreglass construction and seemed prone to chipping damage. When I found these salt glazed pots in the large pot section of the website, I was sold! They looked unique, traditional in shape (a horticulturist had warned me about getting plants out of rounded bowl style pots) and were plenty large enough to take a grafted style tree.
We're now waiting for the large rust effect square profile pots to come back into stock as we have an acer to position behind a pillar.
The pots were delivered free, safely and promptly and the delivery guy helped unwrap and move the pots, allowed me time to check them for damage and took the pallet away. Very happy with the sale and service-will be my go to site for garden supplies.

Gorgeous pot

I absolutely love this pot and my olive tree looks so happy in it. Quick delivery and the driver was so helpful, he carried it round the back of the house for me. I was just a bit disappointed that I missed out on the reduced price by one day and ended up paying the previous £149 price tag. Bad luck!

Lovely pots

We wanted three pots on the gravel for elaeagnus shrubs that should grow quite large, so they needed to be sturdy (it gets windy) and in keeping with the country location. These are perfect, thanks.

I bought two ancient pots -
The only thing I wish I had done was buy the biggest one. I haven’t yet planted anything in them as I’ve been away but I plan to do it this week - a climbing hydrangea in one and still to decide on the other. Very good quality pots.

Well the pots are quite nice. Very heavy. Not as green as the photos and not a very good match. But I like them. They were delivered to the wrong address by palletways - 5 miles from us! Gardenesque said they’d look into it but never got back to me so I ended up tracking them down and having to collect them myself (with 2 strong men)!!

Ancient Salt Glaze planters

I purchased 3 planters to place within a wild meadow. I am delighted on how well they blend into the environment. They are robust so, I am confident to leave them in place during the harsh winter months. Excellent service from Gardenesque but advance knowledge of a delivery date would have been welcomed. Thankfully, the courier was helpful as the pots are very heavy.
