About our Paxton Rattan Hanging Egg Chair
Rattan Egg chairs are the ultimate companion for those sunny afternoons in the sun. Part of our premium Paxton range, our stylish rattan effect egg chair looks fantastic on the patio, garden or poolside. The chair comes in two pieces which join together securely, meaning it's a deep seated egg chair that can easily fit through doorways into your garden.

We are proud to be working with the best couriers in the country. When it comes to fast delivery and customer service we can't be beat.
We use different carriers for delivery depending on the products being shipped. The majority of our orders are shipped via DXÂ on their premium services. Please leave a mobile number when placing your order so you are able to receive SMS updates and tracking information with a delivery time slot on the day of your delivery.
For large and heavy items that need to be delivered on a pallet, we use Palletways, e.g. very large terracotta pots, garden furniture or other large items. Palletways will contact you directly to arrange your day of delivery via phone and email. If they are unsuccessful in contacting you after 3 attempts, they will continue to deliver your order curbside at their earliest convenience.
Our Packaging & Sustainability Commitment
We actively try to be as sustainable as possible where we can during our packing and delivery process. The packaging we use for our products is made from 100% recycled paper, that can be recycled on once it's delivered to you. So, we kindly ask of you to please dispose of our packaging thoughtfully.

Order with express delivery and receive your items within 1-2 working days when ordered by 1pm the previous working day. (3-4 working days for highlands and highlands).
Our express delivery options are covered by our delivery guarantee, meaning if your order arrives later than the specified time working days, we'll refund you your delivery fee without hesitation.
Delivery terms and conditionsÂ
Please note, our palletised delivery services are delivered curbside. If you have a tarmacked driveway the driver will try to deliver the pallet as close to your door as possible, however if door access is gravelled or grass, it will be curbside drop off. Please leave a valid contact number so our couriers can update you if they experience any delays or queries with your delivery.
If your order is delivered on a pallet the driver is cannot take the pallet back with them in case of returns. Doing so may result in extra charges should you want to return your item. We encourage upcycling of our pallets.
If on attempting to deliver your pallet, you refuse delivery and request a redelivery date, we have a right to charge you the return delivery fee. This does not affect your statutory rights to refuse goods on the basis they are damaged, faulty or in line with our returns process. If you want to cancel an order or return the goods, please contact us Gardenesque | Contact us. Your redelivery fee will be chargeable at the invoice amount, and can vary. This can be anything from £35 - £100 depending on the weight or quantity of goods.

All garden furniture will need a little love from time to time to keep it in prime condition for years to come. While our egg chair is made from durable rattan that can withstand the UK weather, we still advise covering and maintaining your egg chair to preserve it through the harsher autumn and winter conditions. This will keep it looking its best for years to come.
1. Pick the right day
The best time to maintain your egg chair is early in the autumn season on a dry day before the frost comes in. You'll need a sunny day to make sure it's properly dry before going into storage. It's always good to give it a clean and revival before going into storage for extra protection and peace of mind.. .

I have been trying out hanging egg chairs on every visit to my local garden centres for the past 2 years. But when I saw the Paxton online at Gardenesque, it looked so superior in quality, I knew this was 'the one'. Fairly easy although very time-consuming to put together, but then self-assembly and my brain have an ongoing battle. Not cheap but I paid in instalments, and absolutely worth it. The quality is superb and it's so natural looking, and the most beautiful inviting shape. As for comfort...out of this world. The chair and cushions seem to enfold you like a cocoon. The first time I sat in it with a book, a blanket and a cup of tea, I felt so at peace I fell asleep almost straightaway. Now it has become 'my place' whenever I feel I need to retreat from the world. Thank you.
Been wanting an egg chair for a while so happy I finally found one I liked the look of. Good quality chair and looks great. The only problem is it is too comfortable and I could laze in it all day :-). Mine arrived slightly damaged but Gardenesque very quickly replaced it for me so good follow-on customer service too.
Really love this chair! I used mine for indoor seating. Its classy as well as very strong and durable. One you can probably keep in the family for a generation or two!
This chair is so comfortable- I spend hours relaxing after work. Cushion is a good depth and makes the egg chair snug! Best purchase for my garden- worth every penny!!!
