While weatherproof, we recommend covering the fireplace when not in use to preserve its condition. After each use, allow the fire to fully cool before removing ash and debris. To clean, use hot water and steel wool to scrub the interior, followed by a light coat of vegetable oil to help protect the steel.

Looks good, but only useful for small fire, using dry logs and kindling. Happy enough with purchase.

Superb fire. I pack it full of wood - the heat is staggering even on freezing cold nights.
I left the last one outside all year for 3 years and used it maybe 70-80 times a year. Just sold the old one for £80

Great outdoor wood burner

Feels like a real upgrade for our outside fire. Solidly built with a decent thickness of steel, it has a large space for the fire, and it’s this height that helps with the short chimney.
It’s self assembly and there were 4 of us putting it together and it was fairly easy (some parts are heavy), but it did work and the first fire a huge success. It gives out a lot of heat. If the doors could open out further it would be perfect (and we may change those hinges if we get round to it!), but delighted with the fire and it looks like it’ll last a good long time.

Answer to riding fuel prices!

This fire pit is awesome! Great quality, looks the part and will heat the whole street when finally get a Summer to use it! Excellent service too x

Just what I needed

Arrived in a very short time well packed, easy to put together only one problem I was a door short which I don’t expect from something that had cost me over £300. Still tried phoning no good out of order, I did start to worry but they answered it straight away and had a replacement in 4 days all put together looks great. Downside is the great in the fire place isn’t great that will soon burn through should be stainless steel or something thicker. The other thing is for Gardenesque to answer is on the box it states cast iron wood burner. It’s Steel plate. Don’t show Trading Standards! Still all in all happy with it just waiting to see how long it will last. Had it been cast iron I would expect it to last about 5 years. But you live and learn

Arrived promptly, quite easy to put together (it's heavy, mind!), looks great. It's a good size for garden waste (cuttings, pruning etc) as well as logs of course.Even at full price a very good deal, but at the sale price an absolute bargain.

can we add a flue to it?

Thank you for your question. The chimney on top of this fireplace acts as a flue, encouraging air flow and directing air upwards. If you wish to add your own alternative flue, we cannot guarantee it's effectiveness or safety.

Does the rust finish come off in the rain over time? Concerned about marking patio flags with rust.

I want something that minimises swirling smoke; does the chimney direct the smoke upwards?
