To protect its natural finish, we recommend using pot feet to improve drainage and avoid moisture retention. In freezing conditions, wrapping the pot with horticultural fleece can help protect both the plant and terracotta. Adding a layer of gravel or broken terracotta at the base before planting ensures optimal drainage, preventing waterlogging and promoting healthy root development.
