Design Features

Available in four large and extra large sizes,  this outdoor planter gives you plenty of room for displaying trees, shrubs and full foliage. Its tapered shape makes repotting easy, whilst the bold ribs and heavy rim add decorative texture to patios and courtyards. It features a built-in drainage hole to support healthy root growth, keeping your plants thriving even in wet weather, and a signature red finish of premium Italian terracotta.

Materials

Galestro Clay, or Terrecotte di Trequanda, is unique to the soil around Tuscany. It's believed to be the most robust clay you can find, making it an ideal material for our terracotta pots. This true Italian design is handmade by skilled potters through the centuries old process of air drying and kiln firing, creating a timeless piece that can withstand the seasons.

Drainage Hole

Our terracotta pots are designed for year-round outdoor use, but we recommend using pot feet to aid drainage and avoid moisture absorption. In harsh winter frosts, wrapping the pot in bubble wrap or blankets can help insulate both the plant and the terracotta. To prevent clogging, add a layer of gravel or broken terracotta at the base before planting. Avoid placing the pot directly on bare earth, as terracotta is porous and may absorb excess moisture over time, which can impact its durability.
